ODU bounces back for easy win

This one was never close. The Monarchs bounced back from a buzzer beater loss on Saturday to rout Maryland Eastern Shore 83-44.

ODU followed up their buzzer beater loss on Saturday with an 83-44 rout of Maryland Eastern Shore on Monday night at the Constant Center.

The game was never close. “We did what we needed to do tonight,” said ODU head coach Jeff Jones. “It was nice to get the William & Mary game behind us. It is good to get the win and we had a lot of different guys contribute. Now we can turn the page and start thinking and preparing for VCU.”

Freshman Micheal Hueitt had something of a coming out party. He is a three point specialist and had four of them on his was to a 12 point, 9 rebound night.

The win gives the Monarchs the rest of the week to prepare for that rivalry game with VCU in Richmond on Saturday.
