ODU hoops struggles but beats Dartmouth

The Monarchs shot 29% in the first half and followed that up with 14% in the second and still beat Dartmouth 59-47

Sometimes you've just got to go to plan B. In the end ODU hoops came up with the right plan to beat Dartmouth 59-47 on Wednesday night at the Constant Center.

45 minutes before tip-off, ODU announced that one of their top scorers, Zoran Talley, had been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules.

The Monarchs had to find offense elsewhere. They discovered just enough to get the win even though they shot just 29% from the field.

To make up for the inconsistent offense, the Monarchs were sound on defense, the boards and free throw shooting.

With the win, ODU improves to  (4-2) on the season and hits the road to take on Towson this Saturday.
