ODU trying to find answers during 3 game slide

With a depleted lineup on both sides of the ball due to injuries, the Monarchs are trying to find ways to halt a three game slide.

Old Dominion continues to battle on as team despite the rash of injuries that have decimated both sides of the ball. After a 58-28 loss to Florida Atlantic in their conference opener, the Monarchs now find themselves mired in a three game losing streak.

The positives were there for the offense. Freshman quarterback, Steve Williams passed for 2 touchdowns, while running back, Jeremy Cox rushed for a career high 202 yards and 2 scores. On the downside, Williams got picked off 4 times, while the defense who was without key players, gave up 453 yards on the ground alone to the Owls. Head Coach, Bobby Wilder put it simply, "It's like when you're in a slump in baseball. You gotta hit. You gotta practice".
