Travis Fulgham scored the first touchdown in ODU's last game against Massachusetts. To get to this point, he has certainly taken an interesting route.
His mother worked for the United States Agency on International Development, so Travis lived at different times in Egypt, India, Jordan and South Africa.
His sports expertise came on the basketball court. Then in his junior year of high school in northern Virginia, he picked up football.
ODU discovered him and brought him in as a walk-on. After just two weeks of his first practice with the Monarchs, Fulgham earned a scholarship.
Now, the sophomore looks like a major player going forward for ODU.
