Former Redskin Super Bowl greats, John Riggins, Dexter Manley and Joe Jacoby were in Chesapeake talking to fans about the glory days in Washington.

CHESAPEAKE, Va.- Imagine getting the chance to see your childhood sports heroes up close in a private setting. About 100 Washington Redskins fans from around Hampton Roads got the opportunity Saturday night at the Chesapeake Conference Center. Super Bowl winners, John Riggins, Dexter Manley and Joe Jacoby spoke before fans at the event called "Legends of the Gridiron".

The three spoke for about two hours of their times with the Redskins during the 1980's and '90's. They took parts in three Super Bowls during that time. "I am as entertained as anyone else in that audience", says Riggins, who was Super Bowl XVII MVP in Washington's 27-17 win over the Miami Dolphins. Folks looked like they had a great time listening. The Redskins have been to the playoffs just three times in the last ten years, and its been 25 years since the franchise last won a Super Bowl title.
