MANTEO, NC - A man with plans to rob a Dare County gas station apparently changed his mind after getting into an argument with employee.

The gunman went into Hatchell's Convenience Store on Roanoke Island around 1:30 a.m. on December 8 and demanded money. He left after having a dispute with the employee, said Chief Deputy Steve Hoggard.

Surveillance camera images show the suspect, who is black, about 5'8' tall and was wearing a mask and sunglasses. He had a covering over his gun. He's facing a charge of robbery.
