NORFOLK-- There is a new policy at the Virginia Zoo that bans volunteers from working with exotic exhibit animals.

They call it the 'Bears' policy and it stands for Behavior Enrichment and Animal Resource Squad.

The idea is to move volunteers away from dangerous animals and closer to the kinder, gentler ones.

Just this week, an intern in California was killed by a lion at the Fresno County Cat Javen.
