NORFOLK -- Disney's version of the Edgar Rice Burroughs story of Tarzan, the ape man, is coming to the stage in Hampton Roads.

Tarzan will be the third production by the Hurrah Players. Disney Theatrical Group asked the troupe to stage the show after Hurrah sold out regional premieres of The Little Mermaid (March 2011) and Winnie the Pooh KIDS (August 2012).

With universal themes of love and family, the musical Tarzan is a perfect fit for Virginia's Leading Family Theatre Company, said director Hugh Copeland. After nearly 30 years of enriching our community with affordable, family friendly activities, The Hurrah Players are well equipped with the artistic talent and technical resources necessary to produce this award winning musical.

The production is March 15 - 17 at The T.C.C. Roper Performing Arts Center, located at 340 Granby St. in downtown Norfolk. Tickets start at $15 for children (ages 12 and under), $20 for adults and can be purchased via phone 757-627-5437 or go to the Hurrah Players Website.
