VIRGINIA BEACH-It was a cold start to the morning for more than 3000 people in Va. Beach - the power went out.

Dominion Power says crews found a broken piece of equipment on a power line at Great Neck Road just south of Wolfsnare Road.

The outage began at 5:52 a.m. and all customers were restored within an hour, spokeswoman Bonita Harris told WVEC.com

The power was still out for a few people in Chesapeake, who were without electricity as the temperature fell Thursday night.

Around 8:00 p.m. a wire fell, putting nearly 4,000 people in the Deep Creek in the dark.

Harris said most people got power back in an hour. However, by 7:00 a.m. Friday, there were still six people without service.

13News Now Meteorologist Craig Moeller says it'll be cold, near freezing in many areas, Friday night. 'With light winds and clear skies tonight, inland lows will fall into the lower 30s. A few spots could dip into the upper 20s. A Freeze Warning is posted for the western half of the ABC13 viewing area from late tonight through 9:00 a.m. Saturday,' he says.

There will be a warmup for the weekend with highs Saturday close to 60 and Sunday temperatures in the lower to mid 60s.
