NEWPORT NEWS- Fire crews are trying to figure out what sparked a blaze in a home in the 600 block of 35th street in Newport News.

Fire dispatchers tell 13NewsNow that the blaze broke out just before 5 a.m. onMonday. When crews arrived, they found smoke showing from the roof of the boarded up and vacant home.

It took 10 minutes for firefighters to get the blaze under control

There were no reports of any injuries.
