SUFFOLK -- There'll be a little of something to entertain everyone at this year's Suffolk Peanut Festival.
The four-day festival is October 9-12 at the Suffolk Executive Airport.
Music of all kinds, a demolition derby, motorcycle rally and more will keep you busy no matter when you go. A carnival, camel rides and even peanut butter sculpting will delight festival goers.
The music line-up is out.
On the Budweiser Main Stage on Friday, October 10:
Joint Therapy, a regional cover band whose music spans everything from Lynyrd Skynyrd to Kenny Chesney; followed by The Holiday Band, a popular North Carolina-based party and dance band.
On Saturday, October 11:
Award-winning, up and coming high energy country group, The Cody Austin Band, is slated to play, opening for national recording artist, Colt Ford. With his groundbreaking blend of country music and hip-hop rhythms, Ford is taking the country music world by storm. After writing #1 country hits for Jason Aldean ('Dirt Road Anthem') and Brantley Gilbert ('Country Must be Country Wide'), Ford, currently collaborating with Brad Paisley, has more than one million Facebook fans, 100 million YouTube views, has sold more than one million albums and several million downloads.
There will be three performances Sunday, October 12:
Luke Willette and the Show Me Band, a local group with a rich sound an ideal blending of gospel and country twang.
Second up will be country music sensation, Darryl Worley, whose career has produced nearly 20 hit singles, including three #1s, as well as chart-topping albums and sales in the millions. His hits include, 'I Miss My Friend,' 'Awful, Beautiful Life' and 'Have You Forgotten' and
Last but not least - Parmalee will close out the festival with their country-rock sound. The group recently made history when its multi-week #1 smash 'Carolina' became the longest climbing single by a duo or group in the 24-year history of the Billboard Country Airplay Chart.
The festival is free; parking is $10 per vehicle, per day. Four-day passes are $20
