NORFOLK -- You can shop with a purpose this Christmas season and help Physicians for Peace.
Money from the 2012 Hope & Health Giving catalog helps people in developing countries who have medical injuries like burns. $25 a month will provide burn clinics with compression garments to heal five severely burned children.
Physicians for Peace works to reduce inequalities in health care for underserved populations by training healthcare professionals through integrated hands-on and theoretical training, collaborating with like- minded organizations to increase efficiency and providing resources that are scarce in the developing world.
You can choose to give in honor of your friends and family. Include their name, a brief note and address and Physicians for Peace will send them a holiday card to acknowledge your gift on their behalf.
