WACHAPREAGUE - Investigators believe a serial arsonist struck overnight in Accomack County.

Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation agents say an abandoned house on Chancetown and Drummondtown road in Wachapreague caught fire around 12:30 a.m.

At 6:00 a.m., the fire was still burning, said spokeswoman Sgt. Michelle Anaya, but through a preliminary examination, arson is suspected.

This would be the 41st intentionally-set fire in the county since Nov. 13, 2012.

No one has been injured and all the structures have been abandoned.

A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest/conviction. Anyone with information can call Virginia State Police at 1-800-582-8350 or (757) 424-6820 or the Accomack County Sheriff's Office at (757) 787-1131.
