ISLE OF WIGHT CO.-- Two people have been arrested and charged in the 2008 death of a four-month-old baby in Isle of Wight County.

Ivy Rose Flamini died at 3401 S. Shore Drive in Smithfield on Dec. 7, 2008.

On Feb. 4, 2013, the baby's mother, 24-year-old Alicia Anna Flamini of Smithfield, was arrested and charged with felony child abuse and neglect.

Alicia's boyfriend, 28-year-old Colten Butler of Surry, was also arrested on Jan. 20, 2013 and charged with felony child abuse and neglect.

The baby's obituary lists Butler as Ivy's father.

Circumstances surrounding the baby's death have not been released.

Officials say the case was reopened after the Department of Social Services alerted the Isle of Wight Sheriff's Office to concerns with another child that belongs to both suspects. That child is now under the supervision of Social Services.

Flamini has been released on bond and Butler is still in custody at Western Tidewater Regional Jail.
