VIRGINIA BEACH--The Coast Guard rescued two men Thursday after their 16-foot boat capsized in the Little Creek Basin.

Navy personnel spotted the boat with two people in the water and called Coast Guard Station Little Creek around 3:15 p.m.

A 25-foot Response Boat was dispatched to assist. The Coast Guard crew rescued two men from the water and took them to the station at Little Creek.

The boaters were trying to right the boat when the Coast Guard arrived but the wind was carrying it further into the basin toward some rocks.

The rescue boat picked up the two men and took them to shore.

There were no injuries.

The Coast Guard later retrieved the men's boat.
