SUFFOLK-Thieves stole items or at least rifled through nearly a dozen cars parked on several streets in Suffolk.

Police started getting called Tuesday morning from people who said they were missing things they've left in their vehicles Monday night.

People living on Aberdeen Place, Braebourne Ct., Heather Glen Dr., Leefield Ct., Oakglen Dr., Pelican View Ct., Scottsfield Dr., and Stoney Ridge Ave. were hit. According to police reports, items taken include sunglasses, a $300 Classic Black IPOD, 20 CDs, a black Easton book bag, a set of Dr. Dre Beats, cash, a cell phone and other electronics.

'I can't believe it,' said neighbor Trenton Townes. 'This is a nice neighborhood, but it goes to show how important it is to lock your doors at night.'

Authorities stress it's important to lock your car doors and, if you are going to leave valuables in your car, put them out of sight.

Anyone with information can call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
