NORFOLK-- A family of five is looking for a new place to live after their apartment caught fire Tuesday.

Firefighters responded to the building located in the 1500 block of Greenleaf Drive and found smoke and flames coming from the second floor.

Officials say there were working smoke detectors in the home that alerted the family to get out.

The fire was contained to one bedroom.

The Norfolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority and the Red Cross are helping the family find housing.

A cause has not yet been determined.
