An early morning fire in Suffolk has left two adults and a teen without a home.

According to a news release, Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded to a single family house fire in the 6200 block of Leafwood Road in the rural Holland community. The call came in at approximately 3:50 a.m., and units were on scene at 3:59 a.m. The extensive fire was brought under control within an hour, and no injuries to firefighters were reported.

Upon arrival, units found the house fully involved with fire. After determining that no one was home, firefighters assumed a defensive posture to keep the fire contained. Several units also conducted water supply shuttles which were necessary due to the rural location of the home.

The Suffolk Fire Marshal's Office remained on scene and is investigating the cause of the fire.
