HAMPTON - An 18-year-old was arrested Thursday for a double killing in Hampton.

Rahmeal Latrey Perry is charged with two counts of murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

On Jan. 19 police responded to a shooting outside White Oaks Lodge, a restaurant/bar in the 3500 block of Kecoughtan Road. The victims, 30-year-old Joseph Lee McQueen of Hampton and 24-year-old Clifton Kareem Christian, were dead when police arrived just before 2:00 a.m.

'Obviously, the arrest of any homicide suspect is extremely important. However, the fact that this is a double homicide that took place in parking lot with other citizens around and the violent manner in which the victims were killed makes Perry's apprehension that much more vital to the public's safety,' police spokesman Sgt. Jason Price told WVEC.com.

Investigators didn't release a motive for the shootings.

Perry is currently incarcerated in the Hampton City Jail.
