YORK COUNTY-Parents and students will notice more police than usual at Tabb High School Thursday.

There were at least four sheriff's deputies, three marked cars and an unmarked SUV at the school for the morning arrivals.

The school was put on lockdown Wednesday afternoon as authorities investigated 'some questionable comments in social media' just before school was to let out, said spokeswoman Katherine Goff.

The lockdown kept students inside until 3:00 p.m. Classes normally end at 2:05 p.m. The situation affect bus schedules for Tabb High, Tabb Middle, Tabb Elementary and two other elementary schools.

The York-Poquoson Sheriff's office is continuing the investigation.
