ELIZABETH CITY, NC-- A woman is wanted for hitting a man with her car during an argument.

Sunday afternoon, police say Deborah Banks called police complaining a man was harassing her.
Shortly after, dispatchers heard a crash.

Officers responded to 751 Riverside Avenue to find 54-year-old William Burnham lying on the ground. Police believe Banks struck him with her car and then drove away.

Officers have obtained warrants for Banks for Assault with a Deadly Weapon with the Intent to Kill Inflicting Serious Injury, Felony Hit and Run, Failure to Report and Accident that Resulted in an Injury, Communicating Threats and Injury to Real Property.

Burnham was taken to Albemarle Hospital with what is believed to be a fractured pelvis. Burnham was then transported to Norfolk General.
