WELLESLEY, MASSACHUSETTS-Some firefighters in Massachusetts saved a dog that fell into icy water.

It happened Sunday in Wellesley.

Authorities say the dog's owner called 911 frantic to get help.

Firefighters put on cold weather survival suits and went into the water, towing a line to put around the Golden Retriever named Crosby. They had to go out about 50 yards into the Charles River. As they got close, the dog paddled towards them.

They were able to break an ice path and pull Crosby to shore. After drying her off and getting her warm, she was returned to her owner.
