NORFOLK -- Virginia State Police are urging commuters to use extreme caution on the roadways as snow continues to accumulate throughout the region.

State Police Sgt. Michelle Anaya says its important for anyone who does not need to be out, to stay at home and wait for the storm to pass.

'Snow is accumulating rapidly on to the roadways and with the temperatures dropping, we ask that commuters please slow down,' Anaya said.
