What is it? A drinking cup for children that allows them to drink anywhere around the rim without the liquid inside spilling.
What does it claim? To be a spill free drinking cup!
Who tested it? Alison Creamer. She's a Virginia Beach resident, Realtor and mother of 15-month-old Aubrey.
What Are The Instructions? It's pretty simple to use. The first thing you need to do is unscrew the lid and fill the Wow Cup with your favorite beverage. It's important to note that you should not use carbonated or hot beverages in your Wow Cup. Once you screw the lid securely back on the Wow Cup you can place you mouth anywhere on the 360 degree Uni-Flow drinking edge. Then just tilt the cup back and gently suck. While gently sucking push your upper lip down on the valve. The liquid will flow between the silicone valve and the valve ring. When you stop sucking, the drinking edge will reseal itself preventing spills.
Your Wow Cup should be cleaned before and after each use. Be sure to take apart all the pieces and wash all of them. If you're hand washing, use clean hands and surfaces and wash in warm soapy water. All the components can be washed in the dishwasher using the delicate wash cycle and placed in the top rack.
Does it work? Our tester was very impressed and her daughter took to it right away. She says she's tried a lot of different sippy cups for her daughter but they always seem to end up leaking. With the Wow Cup there are only a couple of pieces that seem to securely fit together. She also likes that it supports natural oral development.
Cost/Availability? Wow Cup just rolled out this month at major retailers like Toys R Us, Bed Bath and Beyond and Walmart. You can purchase one for about $10.
