Sunshine and milder temperatures feel great, as Spring officially begins just before 1 p.m. Thursday.

We can look forward to more sunshine and above normal temperatures Friday, and on Saturday we may reach 70 .

But don't pack away your Winter clothes just yet.

Our medium-range forecast models point to the development of another coastal storm passing by our shores early next week.

With a cold front passing by Saturday night, temperatures will drop significantly Sunday.

Highs on Monday and Tuesday should stay in the lower to mid-40s. With overnight lows in the lower to mid-30s Tuesday night, any moisture thrown back inland over northeast North Carolina and Virginia may get cold enough to produce some wintry mix.

Winds at the coast could be stronger, with higher than normal tides as well. If the system develops as some of the models suggest, the scenario could be a lot like the storm that passed earlier this week.

A lot can happen over the coming days with this forecast.
