PORTSMOUTH -- Parts of Portsmouth will be sprayed and fogged this week to control mosquitoes.

Aerial spraying will take place between 6 p.m. and 10 p.m. Tuesday in areas north of state Route 164, weather permitting. If it's raining, the spraying will take place Wednesday, city officials said.

Portsmouth Mosquito Control will be fogging throughout the city Monday and Tuesday.

Beekeepers in the affected areas should keep bees covered during spraying operations, and people with known allergies should stay indoors.

For spray schedule updates, citizens should call the Portsmouth Mosquito Hotline at 393-8666.
