VIRGINIA BEACH-- A man who was asked to leave Lynnhaven Mall property ended up using his car to damage other vehicles in the parking lot.
Around 8:10 p.m., mall security asked the man to leave the premises and when he went out to his car and appeared not to be leaving, security officers called police.
Va. Beach police officers arrived and were talking to the man in his car, when the man became agitated, backed into one car then went on to hit at least three other vehicles in the parking lot.
The man then jumped from his car and ran. The man was arrested behind a bank after a short foot pursuit.
There were no injuries.
The man was taken into custody and charged with hit and run and causing property damage.
