ACCOMACK COUNTY -- State Police are investigating an arson for the third time over the past few days on the Eastern Shore.

According to a press release, the latest fire happened around 11 p.m. on Saturday in the 2500 block of Foxgrove Road in Parksley.A police spokesperson advised the structure was an abandoned barn.

Another arson occurred just after 11 p.m. on Friday in Onley.Crews responded to an airplane hanger in the 26000 block of Locustville Road. The hanger was unoccupied when the fire broke out.

No one was injured.

Last week, an arson took place in Pungoteague.

There have been 44 arsons in the county since November.

In all of the cases the structures have been abandoned.
