HANOVER CO.-Fire forced the evacuation of workers at the Tyson Foods poultry processing plant near Richmond early Thursday.

Firefighters were called to the plant on Route 33 just before 2:30 a.m.

Firefighters say workers were out of the building by the time they arrived.

More than two dozen firefighters battled smoke and flames in the boiler room and they got it under control in about an hour.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
