NORFOLK - It's flu season and in-between the coughs and sniffles, people are debating whether the flu shot helps or makes them sick.
Some people are firm believers that the flu shot gave them the flu before, so they're not getting one any more. Others say they'll take the shot over the flu mist because it's more effective.
Dr. Oz and Dr. Dana Bradshaw at Eastern Virginia Medical School jump into the debate. Dr. Bradshaw is studying this exact topic: What makes people choose not to get the flu shot.
'The risk of influenza is much more significant itself to most people than any problem they may have from the vaccination process itself,' Dr. Bradshaw believes.
