A man leaving the shop and slammed the door on Hill's arm and wouldn't stop when Hill told him to stop, according to police. So, Hill ran after him and fired two shots at the man, who was now in a car.
The man drove off and wasn't hit, police stress.
'Mr. Hill advised police the man had taken a plastic bag containing valuables in access of $2,000.00,' said spokesman Harold Eley.
The suspect was driving a tan or beige Chevrolet Malibu.
Hill, 44, who lives in Chesapeake, has been charged with discharging a firearm in a public place and reckless handling of a firearm.
