HAMPTON -- A single mother's has a new home, but she had to put in a lot of work herself.

Habitat for Humanity Peninsula and Greater Williamsburg and Bank of America worked to help Chontae Cook and her nine-month-old daughter.

Cook also put in200 hours of 'sweat equity' on the home in Hampton, officials said, and she got the keys Monday morning at a ribbon cutting at the home on Mallory Street in the Phoebus section.

Officials say this is thefifth property Bank of America has donated to Habitat.
