What is it? A plastic kitchen tool that holds the makings for s'mores in place when put in the microwave. It also has a spot for water to keep the ingredients from burning.

What does it claim? To microwave two s'mores in thirty seconds.

Who tested it? Virginia Beach resident Becky Fodness and her 2-year old daughter Carley.

What Are The Instructions? The first thing you need to do before you use the Microwave S'more Maker for the first time is wash it in warm soapy water. Once it's dry, you're ready to get started.

Open the water reservoir and add cold water to the fill line. Make sure the lid snaps closed. Dry off any excess water from the platform. Now lift the arms and assemble one or two s'mores. Graham cracker on bottom, then chocolate, marshmallow and then another graham cracker.

Lower arms onto s'mores so 'hands' are flat on top of graham crackers. Microwave for approximately 30 seconds on high. It's important to note that microwave cook times may vary based on wattage. Also keep in mind that chocolate will continue to melt after the microwave has stopped.

You need to keep in mind that water can boil if overheated. So it is very important to empty and refill the water reservoir with cold water after every two cooking cycles.

Did it work? Our tester was pretty impressed. She thought at first that the Microwave S'mores Maker seemed silly. She said you could probably do the same thing by putting the ingredients on a plate in the microwave. But when she tried it, the s'more came apart because there was nothing to hold it in place like with the Microwave S'mores Maker. Plus she said it smelled kind of like it was burnt. She figured that was because she was missing the water aspect of the Microwave S'mores Maker.

Overall, she says she likes her s'mores done on an open flame best. But in a pinch or on a rainy day, she could see using the Microwave S'mores Maker.

Cost/Availability? You can purchase a Microwave S'mores Maker for $5.99 at the Kitchen Collection store.

Additional Comments: When it comes to clean up the Microwave S'more Maker is dishwasher safe.
