NORFOLK -- MacArthur Center in downtown Norfolk lost power Tuesday afternoon but opened as usual on Wednesday.

Spokesperson Karen Winters says a transformer blew about 2:00 p.m., knocking out power to part of the mall. Crews with Virginia Power turned off power to the entire mall until they could repair the transformer.

MacArthur Center reopened on schedule at 10:00 a.m.
