DARE COUNTY, NC -- Three people have been arrested in Dare County after they allegedly broke into a home on Wednesday and stole several items including guns.

Deputies viewed surveillance video from the home on Eagle Drive in Colington and were able to identify the suspects.

Police arrested 20-year-old Robert Wayne Philips, 24-year-old Michael Allen Church, and 19 year-old Taylor Renee Knieper.

Dare County Sheriff's Deputies say some of the guns and other stolen property were recovered.

Deputies believe the suspects also broke into two boats on adjacent properties, stole bedding, and were camping on another adjacent property.

Philips has been charged with breaking and entering, larceny of firearm and failure to appear in court. He is currently being held in the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $510,000 bond.

Church is charged with breaking and entering, larceny of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon and failure to appear in court. He is currently being held in the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $35,000 bond.

Knieper is charged with accessory after the fact and is being held in the Dare County Detention Center in lieu of $8,000 bond.

The investigation continues and additional charges are pending.
