What is it? a personal ice cream maker

What does it claim? to make ice cream in 3 minutes

Who tested it? Virginia Beach residents London Myers and Tessa Thibodeau, who are Girl Scouts and ice cream lovers

What Are The Instructions? The first thing you need to do before you get started is to thoroughly hand wash all the parts with warm soapy water. Then gather the things you'll need to make you're ice cream -- measuring spoons, measuring cup, salt, ice and the ingredients that will go into your ice cream recipe.

Now you're ready to go. Remove the cover lid, the ingredients lid and the freezing bowl. Fill the ice chamber with ice to the upper indicated line inside the cup. Do not overfill. Now add 4 tablespoons of table salt. Then add 4 tablespoons of water. Now place the freezing bowl over the ice chamber. Add your ice cream ingredients to the fill line of the freezing bowl and firmly place the ingredients lid over the freezing bowl. It's important to note here you need to make sure that lid is secure! Then twist the cover lid closed and be sure it is secure as well. Now shake continuously for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes, stir the ingredients. If the consistency is not to your liking shake for an additional minute or so. Then open up carefully and enjoy!

When it comes time to clean your Ice Cream Magic, you must hand wash only. It is NOT recommended for the dishwasher. If the freezing bowl is difficult to remove from the ice chamber after making ice cream fill the bowl with warm water and allow it to sit for a minute. Then the bowl should be easily removed.

Did it work ? Even though the ice cream they made never really firmed up like they had hoped, our testers still gave it a thumbs up. They said it was a lot of fun and they thought the final product tasted great too. They did say that if they had to find one bad thing to say about it that would be that the shaking took longer than three minutes and they're arms were a little tired from doing it.

Cost/Availability? You can purchase Ice Cream Magic at Walmart for $9.88.

Additional Comments:
For the best results with your Ice Cream Magic, you should use crushed ice and VERY cold ingredients.
