NORFOLK Voters in several Hampton Roads cities went to the polls Tuesday to elect their representative on City Council and School Board.

Voters from Super Ward 7 in Norfolk chose Angelia Williams to replace Daun Hester.

In Poquoson's only contested City Council race, H. R. 'Buddy' Green, Jr. will represent the Eastern seat.

In Suffolk, voters elected School Board and Council members.

School Board winners are Linda W. Bouchard in the Chuckatuck borough, Lorraine B. Skeeter in the Cypress borough and Enoch C. 'E.C.' Copeland in the Suffolk borough.

For City Council, Michael D. 'Mike' Duman will represent the Chuckatuck borough, Charles F. Brown is the Cypress borough's representative, in the Holy Neck borough, Jeffrey L. Gardy won and Suffolk borough's representative is Charles D. Parr Sr.

Virginia Beach voters also chose people for City Council and School Board.

By 11:15 p.m., the votes were still being counted.

Carolyn Weems had a commanding lead in the Bayside School Board race.

In Virginia Beach, 2 Council at-large seats were on the line.

They'll go to incumbents Bill DeSteph and Rita Bellitto.

Louis Jones had a comfortable lead in the Beach City Council race as did Jim Wood, who was running for the Lynnhaven Council seat.

The closest Council race was in the Princess Anne district, where Barbara Henley was leading by 7.000 votes with 88 of 95 precincts reporting.
