VIRGINIA BEACH -- Kellam High School's SCA has set up a remembrance walk/run for 16-year-old James Normile, a student who was killed in a crash in Suffolk on Tuesday, April 17.

Five family members were hurt in the early-morning crash on Rt. 58/Holland Road. Investigators say his father was at the wheel and fell asleep. Their vehicle went off the road, hit a culvert and rolled onto its side. They were reportedly headed back to Virginia Beach from a Spring Break trip.

The walk/run is set for 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 5 at Kellam High School, located at 2323 Holland Road. SCA spokeswoman Abbie McGee says all profits will be donated to the Normile family.

'Participants may bring balloons, photographs and other tributes to decorate the track. Kellam has a section of its courtyard that is home to several river birches, planted in honor of students who have died,' she told WVEC.com.
