VIRGINIA BEACH -- Virginia Beach police are trying to track down a bold robber who they believe has struck at least four gas stations in the past few months.
Police have video as well as very clear audio of the suspect. The surveillance video shows the man putting down his umbrella before he enters the store. He then shouts, demanding the clerk put money inside a bag.
Police say the bandit robbed the 7-Eleven at 6673 Indian River Rd. in February and the Wilco-Hess at 6048 Indian River Rd. in March. Less than a week later, the suspect hit another 7-Eleven at 201 Witchduck Rd. He's also suspected of robbing a Mobil station at 841 S. Military Highway in April.
Authorities even believe he may have robbed another store in a different city.
Police do not know the race of the suspect, but say he is in his 30s or 40s, 5'5' to 5'10' and 150-190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans, brown boots and something to cover his face.
Investigators say he may be driving a black Lincoln Navigator with front end damage on it.
