VIRGINIA BEACH - A Virginia Beach window installation company closed abruptly this week leaving customers and former employees up in arms.

Employees of Energy Saving Exteriors, Inc. discovered they were out of a job on Monday when they were told to pack up and go home.

The owner of the company Stephen Pezzella won't say if customers who paid for new windows will get refunds.

Employees are also waiting on their last paychecks.

Joan Noble was a salesperson for the company for about two years and said she hasn't seen a penny from the company in about three weeks.

'I hope that someone out there can deeply help us because we really need it, especially at Christmas,' said Noble.

Pezzella told 13News he didn't have much of a choice to close saying he's 'very sorry for any employee or homeowner who got caught up in it.'
