VIRGINIA BEACH-- A First Colonial High School student lost her 10-year battle with brain cancer Monday.

Becca Parcells was diagnosed with malignant brain cancer when she was six years old and bravely fought the disease for a decade.

Last week students posted special video messages on facebook for Becca so she would know how much she was loved.

Students at First Colonial High School will be wearing pink in Becca's honor Wednesday, painting a memorial rock and walking a 'final lap' at the high school.

13News anchor LaSalle Blanks met Becca last year. 'We aired a story almost a year ago to the day. Now it stands as a loving tribute to the power of a mother's love, friendship, and a brave girl who taught me and soooo many others what real strength is all about. Another angel called home. Personally, another tough jolt involving a child so many people loved.'
