NORFOLK (AP) -- Court records show a former security assistant at a Virginia Beach school who was having an inappropriate relationship with a 15-year-old student conspired to kill her husband.

Patience Justine Perez is charged in Norfolk in connection with a murder-for-hire scheme involving that teen, police said.

Norfolk Police spokeswoman Karen Parker-Chesson told Thursday, 'On various occasions during February, Patience Justine Perez brought the teen to her home on O'Conner Crescent in Norfolk, where sexual abuse ensued. Ms. Perez and the minor victim use mobile phones to exchange pornographic images. Ms. Perez and the minor victim engage in conversation/plan to murder Ms. Perez' husband.'

Parker-Chesson said detectives continue to investigate and at this time have not charged the teen in the murder-for-hire scheme.

In Virginia Beach, police said the consensual, sexual relationship between Perez and the student took place away from Renaissance Academy. The 22-year-old Perez has since been fired from her job at the school, which teaches students in middle school and high school.

She is being held in Norfolk City Jail without bond on charges conspiracy to commit murder, solicitation to commit murder, indecent liberties and use of a communication device to facilitate crimes against minors.

She has a hearing in Norfolk Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court to determine her lawyer on March 27 and a preliminary hearing on April 10.
