PORTSMOUTH - A three-month-old girl died Sunday afternoon at a home on Cherokee Road in Portsmouth.

Police say the infant's father called police for help because his daughter was unresponsive.

Neighbor Andew Perez says the father knocked on his door for help.

'He was upset. He was crying. Iasked him if there was anything Icould do,'he said. 'He said his baby wasn't breathing and he thought it might be dead.'
