ELIZABETH CITY, NC -- The suspect in a Tuesday night shooting in ElizabethCity was arrested Wednesday night.

Police say Prentis Row'Shawn Davis had argued with Marcos Nunez shortly before Davis opened fire, hitting the car and striking Rahmel Mallory in the head.

The car crashed after running into a Toyota a short distance away at Church Street and Seldon Street.

Davis is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill-inflicting serious injury and discharging a weapon into occupied property inflicting serious injury.

Mallory was in critical condition Thursday morning at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

The driver and another passenger in the car weren't hurt; the Toyota driver was taken to Albemarle Hospital for treatment.

Nunez was cited for Reckless Driving and Unsafe Movement Violation.
