NORFOLK -- OpSail 2012 Virginia comes to an end Tuesday as the tall ships andNavy ships depart Norfolk.

The military ships began leaving around 6:00 a.m.

At 7:00 a.m. was the Blessing of the Fleet at Mercury Landing in Town Point Park

The tall ships proceeded in formation out of the Elizabeth River around 8:00 a.m. as they began the Parade of Sail Up the Chesapeake, past Fort Monroe in Hampton and turn northward in the Chesapeake Bay towards their next port of call in Baltimore, MD.

Recreational boaters, yacht clubs and charter vessels will be sailing alongside the fleet as they make their way out of Hampton Roads.

Viewing locations are in Norfolk, Portsmouth, Hampton, Middle Peninsula, Northern Neck and the Eastern Shore.

The celebration of America's maritime history has businesses in downtown Norfolk celebrating, too.

'This was our best Harborfest ever,' said Peter Freda, owner of Granby Street Pizza.
