NORFOLK -- MacArthur Center has partnered with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to bring the magic of feature films to deaf and hard-of-hearing children through on-screen sign language interpretation featuring deaf actors.

It debuts at 10:00 a.m. Thursday during a private event where children will see sign language interpretation on-screen. They'll also tour the Ice Age Ice Palace in Center Court and visit with Signing Santa.

'It's great that the community has gotten together and done something for the hearing impaired kids, so it's truly a blessing, he's very exctied to see Santa,' explains John Waters whose son Demari is deaf.

Visiting a signing Santa is a first for many of the children who attended Thursday mornings program.

Signing Santa will be at the Ice Palace throughout the day to visit with other deaf and hard-of-hearing children. Hours are from 11:30 a.m. until 9:00 p.m., with 30 minute reindeer breaks at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.
