VIRGINIA BEACH - An overturned cement truck caused traffic trouble for hundreds of drivers in Va. Beach.

The truck overturned on Sandbridge Road near the fire station around 9:10 a.m. Monday, spilling wet concrete and hydraulic fuel. The road was also damaged, so that has to be repaired before it can reopen, said MPO Jimmy Barnes.

Va. Beach Police were detouring drivers through Dam Neck base until the road finally reopened around 1:30 p.m.
