SUFFOLK -- Two people broke into four Suffolk businesses to steal money.

They forced their way into the stores in a strip mall on Burnett's Way early Sunday, before the businesses were open.

They pried open the registers at Sal`s, New China and Cut N`Shears. They also got into a storefront that wasn't occupied, said city spokeswoman Diana Klink.

Hichem Manni is the owner of Sal's Pizzeria and says the burglary has him thinking about installing better security measures.

'Three and a half years and we never had any problems and this is the first time. It's a wake up call,' said Manni.

Not only did Manni lose money from the register but he lost half a day's business while police conducted their investigation. He's hopeful someone will come forward with information.

'You come here try to make an honest living. I got a lot of people who work for me. These people, what they did, it's just wrong to do that,' said Manni.

Anyone with information can call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
