JAMES CITY COUNTY -- Police say a man dragged for four miles in James City County on Saturday has died of his injuries.

30-year-old Letroy Prince Wallace was thrown from his car after losing control and crashing into a tree on Richmond Road near James City Recycling. He was then run over and dragged into New Kent County by the second vehicle, which was driven by a 22-year old Providence Forge man.

They say he also said he saw the 1997 VW sedan crash and thought he had run over debris, but it wasn't until someone in another car alerted him that a body was under his 1995 Honda sedan.

Two people in Wallace's car, an 8-year-old girl and an 8-year-old boy, were injured and were expected to recover.

Police say the 22-year-old admitted that both vehicles were racing in the westbound lanes.
