VIRGINIA BEACH -- Investigators are looking into the cause of fire that damaged a home late Saturday afternoon.

Chief Jack Crandell says crews responded to the 100 block of Waverly Drive around 5:00 p.m which is located in the Plaza section of the city.

The fire started apparently started in a bedroom and then spread to the attic.

Firefighters were able to gain control of the fire in about 10 minutes. No injuries have been reported.

Officials say the fire caused extensive damage inside the home.
